One Year Later!

What a difference a year can make! A year ago today I wrote my first post on this blog. Chasing Big Dreams has been alive (well, mostly) for a whole year! A year ago I wrote sort of goodbye post to the home I had known and a hello to a new town, school, and community. Since then, a lot has changed. I’ve come to realize that living in a small town really isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. I know now that following my dream doesn’t mean that I have to book it out of here as soon as I can. Traveling the world and being indulged in new cultures is still my ultimate goal though. I’ve learned to cherish the friendships that I have because they can disappear in an instant. I have learned so much about myself and the world.

Although I haven’t been the most consistent blogger, I have loved every minute of it. Its proved to be a good way for me to document fun times I’ve had and share them with you guys. I’ve found a new passion for writing, even if it is only a couple days a month. Now that I’m home and have more free time (less homework), I hope to be posting more often and might actually stick to a once or twice a week schedule. I also love getting to share my photography and drawings with you guys, so hopefully you can expect more photos in the future. I’m still not completely used to the blogging life, but I’m getting there. It takes a lot of dedication and time to be consistent.

But this blog would be nothing without people who actually read what I wrote. So, thank you for reading. Whether this is the first time you’ve visited my blog or if you have followed it from the beginning, I really appreciate you! I hope that you will continue to read and providing me with feedback (thanks Mom!) and post ideas. I hope the next year of Chasing Big Dreams will bring new friends to enjoy, opportunities to explore, and life experiences to savor.

Tootlelie-dip! Peace out, enjoy life, and live the adventure!
