In response to all of the turmoil happening in the world recently, I thought I would dedicate this blog post to all of those who have been affected by these horrible disasters. The attacks in Paris, Nigeria, Lebanon, Baghdad, and all over the world have made me think about my own life in a new light.
Kindness, in my personal opinion, makes the world go round. It is what makes us human. It is what makes life worth living, and it makes each day enjoyable. However, humans often forget kindness and let their lives be ran and controlled by power, greed, and control. When these things overtake our minds, we do terrible things… unkind things… things that do not make life worth living.
I know its really cheesy, and in the world we live in today, probably impossible, but why can’t we live in a world where everyone is treated kindly. Where we stand together as humans and make our lives better, make our children’s lives better. Where we celebrate our differences and use those differences to understand one another better. Thats my ideal world… one without the daunting threat of control and power. One where every human being can walk on the streets of their beautiful city and feel safe. One where bombs aren’t exploded and threats aren’t made. Call me a dreamer, but if we all do our part to live our lives with kindness, how hard could it be?
I hope you are having a wonderful week (well, as wonderful as it could be with all the horrible things happening in our world). Take some time this week to reflect on how you are living your life with kindness, or work extra hard to be kind to everyone.
Peace out, enjoy life, and live the adventure.
