My Summer Plans

How is life going? Are you sticking to all of your resolutions, or have they begun to fall through again. I will admit the journaling thing has been a bit hard for me. I don’t quite know what to write down, and by the time I remember to write in it, it is way late at night and I have forgotten most of what I did that day. I think I have a slight case of short term memory loss…

Anyway, today I thought I would share with you my plans for this summer. As you should all know by now, I love to travel. I pretty much love going anywhere. Its all so exciting. Last summer my sister and I took a trip, along with two of her freinds, to the Netherlands and England. It was an absolute blast. So this summer we decided to do something similar again.

On May 7th, we board a plane to Europe! We will land in Amsterdam and immediately hop on a train to Germany. We will start in Bremen as my sister has a friend who will be studying abroad there. After spending a few days touring the city of Bremen we will hop on another train down to a town in the southern part of Germany to see one of the former Camp Spring Creek counselors. We will stay with him for a few days and explore that part of Germany before we head on to Switzerland.

In Switzerland we will stay in Basel with a family friend for part of the time and then also go see another former counselor in her small town near Bern. I am super excited about the whole trip, but I am feeling most psyched for Switzerland. I’m not sure quite why, but I just feel like Switzerland is absolutely gorgeous with all of the mountains and the atmosphere. And plus, who can resist some Swiss chocolate!

After a few days in Switzerland we will fly to Ireland, where we will meet our mother and one of her friends. The first night my sister and I will stay with a counselor near Dublin as my mom won’t come in until the next morning. After then we will do a road trip through Ireland. I’m not quite sure where we will go or what we will do, but I am stoked never the less. We have roughly ten days in Ireland, so we should be able to see a lot.

After our time in Ireland we will fly back to the Netherlands and visit with our family. I think it will be very refreshing to go back to a familiar place after traveling for so long. Plus, its also always wonderful to see my family again.

After a few days in the Netherlands, we will fly back to the States and head straight to staff training week for summer camp.
