A Letter To My Best Friend

I know that this is a little bit of a late post. I spent the majority of my day with my best friend, enjoying Valentines Day the way us single folk do: watching How To Be Single. (very funny movie for any of you who haven’t seen it yet)

Anyway, I wanted to dedicate this post to best friend because he puts up with me through everything. And driving home in the snowy weather really made me realize how much I love him.

Dear bestie,

On this wondrous day in February most people express their love to their significant other. But I want to tell you, my best friend, how much I cherish you and our friendship. You are my rock, and my backbone, and my better half. You are always there for me, and I could not be more grateful. We have been through the rough and smooth stages of our lives together. You are so much more than a best friend.

Thank you for the endless memories. For the baking disasters and triumphs. For movie nights and Snapchat wars. For midnight hikes and snowy adventures. For personal dance performances, and practicing lines. For thousands of laughs and millions of smiles. For the advice, for the honesty, and for the love. I can’t imagine life today without you by my side.

More than anything, I want you to know that I love you. To the moon and back, I love you. You are the family that I got to choose, and the person I go to when I have nowhere else to turn. I know that you’ll always be there, whether we saw each other yesterday or six months ago. You have played a great part in my life this far, and I see so much of you in the person I have become. I am so grateful to have such an amazing human being in my life.

I love you with all the love in my heart,

Your bestie
